Gameplay: A Lap around the Features Project CARS 2: The Tried and Tested Titan of Racing We’re in the midst of the great debate – which racing game reigns supreme: Project CARS 2 or Project CARS 3? Buckle up and prepare for a wild ride as we dive into these two popular racing titles. Thanks for reading. Is Project CARS 2 or Project CARS 3 Better? Which of the two titles would be the more appropriate choice for me. I was originally only picking between PC2 and AC as they are much cheaper but if AM2 is really the significantly better choice for me, I might be convinced. I won't always play in VR but VR support is a must have with good visuals and performance. I recently tried Dirt 4.0 in VR and I was blown away. I use a Samsung Odyssey+ as my PCVR headset. Honestly, the missions in NFS helped a lot in making want to play more. I appreciate some level of guidance/progression instead of just an open simulation. I appreciate realistic physics but honestly I don't think I would be able to tell the difference. I'm not sure if I'm really for an extremely deep customization/simulation level game with extremely granular tuning required. ![]() I don't really know that much about simulation level racing so games like the F1 series escaped me. I like racing games, grew up on games like Need For Speed Most Wanted, Colin McRae Rally, Grid, etc. So I'm using my Xbox Wireless Controller with my PC. No immediate plans to buy a wheel as it's hard for me to justify the cost (the G29s are pricey for a casual simmer). I'm looking to pick up another cheap racing title during the Steam sale for VR racing with an Xbox controller.
